The philosophy behind Denvelopers was born between friends on a snowy porch early in 2009. Community was the focus, community is the focus, and community will continue to be the focus of Denvelopers for the life of the company.
The internet has many amazing features, but its one irreducible quality is this: the web is the exchange of information between people. In acknowledging this, Denvelopers has, in a sense, gone back to basics. There is no end to blog posts from experts declaring the need to separate noise from signal and engage your community while getting out there in social web promotion. Nothing has really changed; we simply have more tools available to us.
This is not so much something that we learned from other bloggers as it is something that came naturally to us, as a socially-minded business. We’ll be genuine. We’ll be honest. We will translate what we would do face-to-face to what we will do digitally. We’ll have conversations, we’ll connect our friends and clients to like-minded organizations, and we won’t argue about ROI (return on investment) at the expense of effort or honesty.
As a social business, we will do what we know is right. We’ll connect with people, albeit through the social web. And those connections will find us and our clients friends/followers, digital evangelists, and maybe even some business. We’ll play with the big dogs because we know that digital tools are equalizers, and that having a human behind a URL can make a world of difference. By viewing the web as an extension of real life, we will make those relationships work.
We’re now sharing community office space in the Green Spaces building located in the wonderful RiNo district of Denver. RiNo is bounded by I-70 to the North, I-25 to the West, Park Avenue West to the South, and Lawrence to the East. While retaining its industrial roots, the RiNo neighborhood is now fertile ground for arts and artists. The River North Art District is dedicated to promoting and supporting the people and businesses that reside in the area. Come stop by 1368 26th Street for a visit.
